Darkness+ is also the only elemental+ skill that is particularly useful (in case you are battling multiple stronger characters like hordes of Lizalfos or Darknuts), so you can put it on if you have room. The extra damage also carries over to finishing blows, which makes them do EXTREMELY high damage. Since the only time you will spend a bit of time on a single enemy is in 1v1 against stronger characters, the extra damage really helps. Just like light, there are a lot of characters weak to darkness, but the secondary effect is especially helpful. THIS is the best element in the game hands down. Lightning+ launches enemies higher into the air. Lightning attacks will deal normal damage regardless if the enemy is in the air or not. Normally when enemies are hit while in the air, your attacks do 33% less damage than normal.
